American Li-ion
Empowering the Future with Green Li-ion Technology at Our Atoka Facility
Our Mission
Our goal is to establish a circular economy for lithium-ion batteries, reducing reliance on traditional mining and minimizing environmental impact. By transforming spent batteries into high-quality, battery-grade materials, we support the growing demand for energy storage solutions while promoting environmental stewardship.
The Atoka Facility
Located in Atoka, Oklahoma, our state-of-the-art facility is North America’s first commercial-scale plant designed to process unsorted battery waste, commonly known as “black mass.” Utilizing Green Li-ion’s patented Green Hydrorejuvenationâ„¢ technology, the plant converts this black mass into sustainable, battery-grade cathode precursor (pCAM), lithium, and anode materials. This innovative process not only closes the loop in the electric vehicle (EV) recycling chain but also strengthens the domestic supply of critical battery components.
Our Atoka plant is a beacon of innovation, showcasing our dedication to creating a circular economy for lithium-ion batteries. By producing high-quality, battery-grade materials domestically, we are reducing environmental impact and ensuring that the U.S. remains at the forefront of the global shift towards electrification.
